Improv Sessions

Project Present provides engaging improv workshops to older adults, care partners, and individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. Improv is an opportunity for meaningful social connection, joyful collaboration, and loads of laughter!

Participants are part of a creative experience where there are no mistakes, all ideas are accepted, and positive energy is abundant. Sessions are wonderful for the mind, body, and soul!

Project Present provides improv sessions to organizations, residences, and adult day communities all over the St. Louis area.

Sessions open to the public are at Mason Pointe. Dates and times included below:

Dementia & Communication Training

Learn tools to effectively communicate with a loved one living with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias to reduce stress, and diffuse challenging situations to improve quality of life.

The session provides strategies to navigate all stages of the disease while also providing resources to strengthen caregiver well-being.

Caregiver Improv Sessions

Project Present/Washington University Program for Caregivers

Project Present has partnered with Washington University’s Clinical Geropsychology Lab under Dr. Brian Carpenter Professor of Psychological & Brain Sciences to facilitate a four week intervention with caregivers of individuals living with dementia. The objectives of the program are to improve communication, reduce stress, navigate challenging situations, and build a support system. Participants will receive a small stipend for their participation. If interested, please contact 314-935-6173 or agingwell@wustl.edu.

Our next dates will be May 29th, June 5th, June 12th and June 19th from 2:00-3:30.

Caregiver Support Group

Offered twice monthly, these meetings provide a welcoming and supportive environment to be heard and accepted, and to provide meaningful support, strategies, and resources to improve the quality of life for a caregiver.

Project Present hosts both in-person and Zoom support group meetings. These meetings are free and open to all caregivers.
